Solutions To Climate Change Induced Environmental Crises

 

That the earth is being affected by climate change is no longer a matter for debate as to whether or not it’s a hoax. The decades long debate on the issue is now largely settled, as the severe effects of climate change continue to buffet every part of the earth. From severer hurricanes in the Americas, deadly floods in sub Saharan Africa that killed thousands and displaced millions from their homes, to washed away islands in Micronesia, the practical effects of climate change have packed a punch of epically damaging proportions. Various studies have pointed to human actions as being responsible for the rise in global temperatures which fuels the climate catastrophes. It’s also been shown in many studies that a change in human behavior across a broad spectrum of activities— energy generation, agricultural practices, land use practices for development, deforestation, etc—is required to slow down the rise in global temperatures and hopefully start a reversal of the damage.

This short course and its workshop variant is designed to provide a learning environment that enables experts to share their knowledge of climate change mitigation strategies and how they can be nationally and regionally integrated to deal with the problem.
