Overview

Violent crime plagues several major metropolitan areas of the United States. Murder rates have spiked in these areas over the years. The crime is often fueled by drugs and gang violence over drug turf of operations. Enforcement in almost all cases has involved the
application of outdated methods. Sociological methods require the application of sociological methods of inquiry to deeply understand the causes of violent crime so the right interventionist methods can be prescribed to deal with them. This course is taught by academics, experts and experienced law enforcement personnel.
